SCR forks out £150k on kit
SCR Envelope Solutions has splashed out over £150,000 on new kit for its Leeds base and recruited five new staff. The investment has included a £75,000 Halm Jet Plus XL two-colour envelope press, capable of producing 50,000 envelopes an hour.
The new kit followed the installation of a second £90,000 Super Jet Plus XL two-colours press, which produces larger-sized envelopes.
Managing director Steve Allott said: It's a difficult market, but we are seeing an explosion in overprint because of better technology and shorter run lengths due to budget squeezes.
